More than you can imagine

The word for today is taken from,

Ephesians 3:20–21 NIV
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

There are times when thoughts of hopelessness and despair fill our hearts because we run out of resources, or times when prayers go unanswered. As humans, it is easy for us to become worried about the future because in our despair we tend to forget what God can do for us.

This Verse in Ephesians 3:20 is part of a passage, where Paul writes a prayer to the church at Ephesus, and at the end of this prayer, he closes by reminding the church of who God is.

  • He is able to immeasurably
  • More than all we ask or imagine

In times of despair, here’s what we need to remember:

  1. God is fully able to meet our needs
  2. He will grant more than what we ask.

So, I want to encourage you this morning. Even in your most challenging situation, never stop depending on God for your needs. He will never fail you. He will be able to do beyond your expectations.

Let’s Pray

Lord, we thank you that you are Jehovah Jireh, The Lord who provides and takes care of all our needs. No matter what lack we face, it will be fulfilled according to your glorious riches. Thank you Jesus for who you are in your name we pray. Amen
