3 Rules to be Successful, Part 3

3 Rules to be Successful, Part 3

Listen to Audio Devotion

We are talking about three rules to be successful. I’d like to share with you Rule No. 3.

Proverbs 28:13 NIV
Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Here’s the rule,
“Do not hide your sins instead confess and repent”

When we fail, when we sin, there’s something in us that tells us to hide from God or run away from God. There’s something that does not let us confess instead hide what we have done. Now that’s human nature. We hide and keep things that are dark and shameful thinking that no one will ever know but God knows it all, he sees it all. He knows what you do when no one is around.

The Bible tells clearly, that if we hide our sins then we will not prosper. We will not succeed if we do not confess our sins and ask for forgiveness.

So instead of hiding, confess your sins; renounce them and you will find mercy from God. What is mercy? God will not give you the punishment you deserve. God will forgive and will prosper you.

You might often wonder, what’s the way to be successful. Is there a three-step mantra? Is there a formula that I can follow to prosper? As we look at the Bible, we are reminded that if we desire to succeed, we have to be transparent before God. If we confess and give up our sinful ways, God will grant mercy and we will prosper.

I hope this series of devotions has been helpful to you. I hope you have learnt something that you can apply to your daily. Before I close I’d like to go through the three points I have shared over the last three days.

  1. Always Acknowledge and Honor God.
  2. Speak the truth
  3. Do not hide your sin but confess and repent.

Let’s pray

Lord, we thank you for what we have learnt over the past three days. Help us to put these things into practice so that we may grow and prosper in you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
