You are Protected by God

You are Protected by God

Listen to this Devotion

One of the basic needs of life is Security. No matter who we are, what we do, or what we are capable of. We like to feel secure because then have the confidence to go out and do what God has called us to do. But the day we feel like we don’t have that protection, our life can turn hopeless.

Good Morning,

In 2 Thessalonians 3:3, Paul the Apostle writes to the church reminding them of a fundamental fact about the Christian faith.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV
3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

Paul faced persecution, often beaten, for the sake of the gospel. He faced trouble from fellow Jews, and other people because of what he preached. However, He lived with this confidence that his life will not fall into the hands of evil people, nor will they be able to completely destroy him. Because of this truth,

God is faithful, He will strengthen you and protect us from the Evil one

The enemy may make plans to destroy us but he cannot succeed because of God’s protection over our lives.

It’s often easy to give up hope, and think that our life is OVER when we face challenges. We come to the conclusion that we are doomed. we are destroyed. No one can save us.

But as God’s Children, we can be sure that God will protect us from the evil one.

William Barclay said, “One of the basic needs of life is security, and we find that need met in the consciousness of the unchanging love of God.”

Let’s pray:

Lord, Help us to understand that you are our strength, our protection, and our ever-present help in trouble and that you will protect us from the evil one.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
