Our New Identity

The moment we come to Christ, we take on a new identity. We take the identity of a new creation. this New identity is defined by Christ. We are no longer that old sinner, slave to the things of the world, guilty of whatever we did. Rather, we are made new, given a new life before God, our past is taken away… and now our sins don’t define us, but God does.!

Here’s the best part, we don’t have to pay anything to earn this new life. We don’t have to do penance or anything to get this new identity. All we have to do is simply, Confess our sins and ask God to come into our Life.

Now because of what Jesus did for us on the cross; What did he do…He took all our sins, shame, and guilt and paid the price. Because of that, we are saved and we have a new identity.

We are no longer a Sinner but a Child of God
We are no longer bound to the things of the world but we are free in christ.
We are no longer defined by the world but defined by God.

Isn’t that amazing?

Let’s Pray,

Lord, I thank you that my identity, who am I is defined by you. The world may call me a sinner or any name but you call me your Child. I thank you for what you’ve done. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
