Philippians 4:19
My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Lessons about faith can be found in unexpected places. This is another instance where my dog taught me a lesson. He spends most of his time in the living area, or what we refer to as the hall. His yellow melamine bowl is kept right next to the TV stand in the hall. Whenever he’s hungry he doesn’t bark or groan or kick the bowl or push it around to indicate that he is hungry. Instead, he waits while lying quietly next to it. There have been times when I’ve completely forgotten to feed him a meal, yet he doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary. Over time, he had come to rely on the fact that I would eventually enter the hall, notice him there, and meet his needs. His faith in me made me realize that I need to have more faith in God, the Perfect Master.

According to the Bible, “faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. ” (Heb. 11:1). God Himself is the source of this assurance and confidence because he “rewards those who earnestly seek him” (v. 6). All who come to God through faith in Jesus can have confidence that He will keep His promises to them. Hebrews 11 also features the so-called “Hall of Faith”. If you notice, each one of them had stories of failure when they did not have faith in God, but ultimately their hope was rooted in God.

It can be difficult at times to have faith in “what we do not see”. We have seen some level of hierarchy in almost every field of work. We mistake God to be the CEO of a Global Organisation called Christianity, who is only focused on high-level, important work, and is not so much concerned about freshers like us. Be assured that you can ping him anytime and he will read your message. Let’s have faith and wait.

Let’s Pray

Almighty Father, thank You for Your faithfulness to always take care of me. Help me to trust You and to rest in Your perfect love today.
