I am not a failure

I am not a failure

Listen to Audio Devotion

There are times when you may feel like a failure, and times when you feel like you are worth nothing. You may attempt many things, hoping to succeed, but ultimately fail. So, no matter what you try this thought of failure may be haunting you.. but I want you through God’s word that you are not a failure.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” –

God speaks a word of encouragement to Israel saying that God has plans to prosper and to give a hope and a future.

A Question that many have is this,

  • If God desires to give me a hope and future then why am i struggling?
  • Why do I face failure after failure?

We ask these questions because we think that if God has a plan and purpose for me. If God is guiding then I will not face any failure rather it will only be filled with successes.

But what we may fail to understand is that God in his plan for our Lives – also allows failure to come. He allows times of difficulty. He allows challenges to come.

He does this for three reasons:

  1. Teach us Valuable Lessons
  2. Learn to be strong in difficult times
  3. Remain Humble
    1. Failure causes us to be humble.

If you are facing a failure, embrace it, and learn from it because it’s not really a failure but another lesson to learn so that you can accomplish what God wants you to do.

Let’s Pray

Father, Help us deal with failures in your way. Help us to understand that even in our greatest failure you still have a wonderful plan and purpose for our life. In Jesus’ name.
