Hate Lies. Love Truth.

Hate Lies. Love Truth.

Listen to Audio Devotion

Lies are often more impressive than the truth. Lies are often more believable than the truth itself.

But as God’s children, we must learn to hate lies and love truth.

Loving the truth must become the way in which we live. We must avoid the occasional lies that are said just for the sake of getting work done. I used to work with someone many years ago and they always made me work by telling lies, saying today is the submission date or else we have to pay a fine.. etc., etc. only to realize later. That’s how they get work done.

Such behavior may seem normal but in reality, shows a much bigger problem. Such attitude also has a direct impact on the way we have a relationship with God.

You see,

Unless we hate lies and love truth we will not be able to fully know God and understand in the way the bible describes.

If we are okay with lies. Then we may also end up believing false teachings, and false doctrines.

“I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.” Romans 16:17-18 NIV

Let’s Pray

Father, we pray that you Help us to know what is true and what is false, help us to be discerning, help us to be aware so that at every point in our life we will always hate the lies and love the truth because by loving truth we will get to know you better.

Help us Lord we pray in Jesus name. Amen.
