1 Timothy 6:12 NIV

12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Paul writes these words to a Young Pastor named Timothy and he reminds him of the approach he has taken toward his life. Now, though this word of advice is written specifically to a pastor. But there’s something that all of us can take from this.

Every day of our Christian Life is going to be fought. Whether we like it or not, that’s the reality.

Ephesians 6:12 NIV 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

We may wonder, how long is this battle going to last? Truth is, till we see Jesus face to face. This is going to be challenging. But if fight the good fight of faith, then we will be able to take hold of the eternal life which God has prepared for us.

As you begin your day, I encourage you. Fight the good fight of faith. Don’t get comfortable, and never stop fighting. Keep marching forward like a Soldier and fulfilling God’s will for your life

Lord, Help us NEVER to become complacent but to fight the good fight of faith. Help to be alert at all times. In Jesus’ name. Amen
