Don’t tolerate Narcissism

Don’t tolerate Narcissism

Listen to Audio Devotion

Narcissism is considered a personality disorder in which a person believes that he or she is more important than everyone. They believe they should be followed, admired, and given attention. Such people are often preoccupied with fantasies of power, success…so much so that they exploit others to achieve their goals.

Now if you are friends with a Narcissistic person, you ought to be careful. Talk to them about their behavior and how destructive it is towards others. If they change, that’s wonderful. Praise God. But if they don’t change but keep giving excuses for everything then leave them immediately

Because Narcissistic behavior should never be tolerated. But if it’s tolerated, then those who are narcissistic take that as approval for their behavior. In other words, by tolerating them you enable them to be more narcissistic.

2 Timothy 3:1–5 NIV
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Have nothing to do with such people.

That’s what the Bible says.

Narcissism is also a spirit of the end times. The Anti-Christ, a global ruler who will come will be an embodiment of narcissism.

Watch out for such attitudes. Don’t tolerate such behavior but if you do, you will also be destroyed.

Let’s Pray

Lord, Help us discern those who are Narcissistic around us and help us deal with them according to your word, In Jesus’ name. Amen.
