Why we fail ?!

Why we fail ?!

Listen to Audio Devotion

Three things often lead to failure,

  1. Lack of Disciplines
  2. Lack of following a Routine
  3. Laziness or Procrastination

The Bible says this,
Hebrews 12:11 NIV
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Often it’s so easy to set aside, discipline for the sake of personal comfort, or an extra hour of sleep but eventually, it brings disaster upon our lives where we end up failing at even the basic tasks.

Proverbs 26:14 NIV says, As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed.
That is a State of a man who refuses discipline and embraces laziness.

Another verse:
Proverbs 19:24 NIV says, “The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not even bring it back to his mouth!”

Why am I quoting all these verses?
Sometimes, we might wonder, why I am facing failure after failure. Why do I fail at the basic tasks in life. Probably, Lack of Discipline & Procrastination is the reason.

Proverbs 18:9 NIV says, “One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.” A person who is slack in his work destroys everything he does. May our lives be different, if there is laziness that is plaguing our life today! Let’s ask God for help and he will help us.

Let’s Pray
Lord, when you created the first man and woman, you gave them the task of working and maintaining the garden. Father, you have ingrained the attitude of working in our very nature, but somehow laziness and procrastination creep in. I pray that you help us overcome these tendencies. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
