The LORD fights for you

The LORD fights for you

Listen to our Audio Devotion

Good Morning, Welcome to a New Day, I hope you are doing well. We are back with our daily devotions, and we are excited to share God’s word with you.

For our Devotion today, I’d like to turn your attention to,

Exodus 14:24–25 NIV

24 During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion.
25 He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.”

This verse describes the situation when the Israelites fled Egypt. At this point, they were crossing the RED Sea, which God had parted open miraculously and made a way for them to walk through as they walked on dry land.

When God parted the sea, the Egyptians followed the Israelites into the red sea. Verse 23 says,

Exodus 14:23 NIV

23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea.

But as they were pursuing, this is what happened.

God does two things here:

  1. He threw the Egyptians into confusion
  2. He jammed the wheels of their chariots

The Egyptians say, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt. Pharaoh and his men recognized it was GOD fighting against them.

This is a reminder to us today,

  • No matter what we experience
    • Persecuted
    • Falsely Accused
    • Treated Unjustly
    • Harassed
    • Abused
    • Spiritual attacks.

Remember this, God is fighting for you. You may not be able to recognize but your enemy will recognize that God is on your side. So, when you are going through the most challenging time, don’t lose hope because our God, Jesus is fighting your battles.

Let’s Pray

Lord, Help us to be mindful of the truth that you are fighting the battles for us. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ Name.
